The documentation of a kit consists of the following (examples from the
MJ class Ib kit):
Assembly instructions:
A step by step description of the assembly
Bill of Material:
List of all materials used
Exploded views:
If you intend to share your work with others you need to compile some building instruction. A very clear visualisation is an exploded view. It can be made fairly easy using some macros in Coreldraw.
The macros you need to make an isometric exploded view of the flat parts are: Floor, side and end. Cast and bought parts must be sketch by hand.

Etch identification:
To identify the parts on the etched sheet, basically a print out of the etch file including identity numbers according to the Bill of Material
Prototype information:
About the prototype, historical information, pictures, drawings etc
